COVID-19: How to use Pre-cautions - OHS Standards

Hey Everyone!
Just wanted to address the recent concerns on COVID-19 🦠⚠️ & how practicing Health & Safety routines is conducted, especially because Face & Body involves a lot of skin contact between children & adults.

Everyone’s on edge & the media does have an impact on our perception of it.

To provide reassurance, these are steps of hygiene I ALWAYS practice to ensure the children, adults & myself, are safe as much as possible.

⚠️🚫***WE DO NOT PAINT PERSONS WHO ARE SICK OR RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH AN ILLNESS, WITH VISIBLE SKIN INFECTIONS OR DISEASES, SHOW ALLERGIES OR HAVE BEEN SICK IN THE LAST 24HRS. IF YOU ARE SICK PLEASE STAY AT HOME***🚫⚠️

🧼 Face paint kit and chair are thoroughly cleaned at all times with antibacterial wipes and sprayed with disinfectant spray.
💦 Paints are sprayed with Isocol antiseptic and wiped after each use.

🧽 Sponges, lollipop & finger daubers are used once per person then taken home to get washed on a hot machine wash & machine dried after every event.

✅ Each sponge is used ONCE only & disposed in a wash bag seperate from the clean sponge wash bag.

🚮All “one use” items: lipstick applicators, Q-tips & baby wipes, are disposed in a rubbish bin.
🧴Hand sanitizer is readily available & used before, during & after face painting. Antibacterial surface wipes are also readily available.
🚰 Fresh, clean water is used & changed 1-2 times per event.
🚫 I do NOT recommend using a brush sanitiser soap in water containers for more than one person. Over time they will be dipped again with a another brush that has been used on another child. This is not entirely hygienic & don’t advise using them, although other face painters use this & claim it’s better, it doesn’t make a difference to reduce bacteria.
✅ Instead I have 3 sets of water sections & double rince the brushes.
🛁 After each event, brushes are hand cleaned, sanitised & air dried.

PLEASE READ BELOW where it state’s health and safety regulations with face and body painting.

Rest assured that face painting is always available and clean, professional quality standards always apply.

Happy painting!

Stephany
